This site is written by Jason E. Marshall.
I am a practicing attorney in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science, and a Juris Doctorate. I have been interested in comparative religion, as well as spiritualΒ and self-transformative practices for almost a decade. I have had numerous articles and pieces published involving comparative religion, and esoteric subjects. I also have recently had a book published, “The Path: Using the Religions of the World as a Guide to Personal and Spiritual Development.” (Stone Guild Publishing 2013).
I am also a featured writer for the monthly Freemason magazine Living Stones Magazine (www.livingstonesmagazine.com)
I am married to a wonderful woman, Jessica Marshall, and I have two sons: Jason II, and John Thomas
I created this site to share ideas involving how to truly live life to the fullest, which is admittedly something that I have struggled with my entire life. Until relatively recently, I was always waiting for the moment that I would be an adult, successful, βcompleteβ in some way. I was always looking forward to conquering the next mountain (college, law school, career, family etc.) then I would be truly happy. However, when the attainment of these goals finally came they didnβt make me happy, I just looked forward to the next goal. Finally one day I realized that I needed to be happy where I was right now, and stop thinking that I will be happy in the future, after I do X. At the same time I also realized that I needed to move on from my past, and stop dwelling on past mistakes.
By practicing simple techniques, and making a conscious effort to tap into life, and all of its mysteries, you can begin to enjoy life and better deal with the peaks and valleys along the road of life.

Hi Jason,
You really hit the jackpot! What a wonderful blog! I just started mine, perhaps we can cooperate in some way, we seem to have the same goal; we would like others to find fundamental happiness just as we and we want to share what we have learned so far.
l will be following your blogs with pleasure and I hope I can return the favor by interesting articles on my blog (?).
regards
Francois

I actually started this blog before ever reading any of Tolle’s work. I based the name off of the teachings contained in various Buddhist schools regarding living mindfully, living in the present, etc. However, after starting th blog, I had many people contact me regarding Tolle’s “The Power of Now”, so I read it, and I think he and I have similar view points! Thanks for stopping by and commenting, I think you have a wonderful blog as well!

That is wonderful! He is an amazing author. If you haven’t read it, I also heartily recommend “A New Earth.”
And thanks!

I think it’s cool that you started this blog to share ideas about how to enjoy life to the fullest. I have found that blogging itself has actually helped me do just that!

Hi Jason, Thanks for reading and ‘liking’ my blog. Noticed in your blog that everywhere around the world thought about “happiness” was more about “achievements” in our prospective career….and we never thought about the simple things in our life as happiness. I learned mine too the same way that now Iam able to share with rest of people that “happiness” is all around us rather than all the “selfish” achievements we can always make.

Hey Jason,
Thanks so much for liking my blog http://www.soulnstyle.wordpress.com. I can really empathize with you about always seeking to achieve the next goal instead of taking time to appreciate where I am right now and what I’ve accomplished so far in life. I find that being in nature (even if it is just looking at the moon hovering over a skyscraper!) always helps to put things into perspective.
I wish you good luck with the sales of your book!
